Cricket stars turn out for Hendy Ferndown Golf Classic
Cricket stars and local business leaders were among those teeing off in the recent Ferndown Golf Classic, a key event in the benefit calendar of Hampshire batsman John Crawley.
The event, hosted by the Hendy Group, attracted more than 25 teams with players including cricketers Shaun Udal, Nic Pothas, Michael Lumb and John Crawley together with players from companies including Meachers, Langdowns, Tenon, Powells and the Hendy Group.
The automotive giant is a key supporter of cricket in the south and has just begun its second year as exclusive vehicle supplier to Hampshire Cricket.
“It was a tremendous event with some enjoyable golf and the chance to support the John Crawley Benefit Year,” said Hendy Group managing director Paul Hendy.
“We had a great turnout of companies and organisations for the day which was followed by a gala dinner and entertainment from England selector Geoff Miller.”
The day raised in excess of £10,000 for the John Crawley Benefit Year.
