Hendy Group strengthens ties with rising Exeter rugby club
The automotive giant has car sales and hire operations in the city and has supplied Richard with a new five-door Honda Civic and Hendy is set to strengthen its ties with the local rugby club further by becoming an Exeter Chiefs Sponsor.
Vince Mann, a director of the group and based at Hendy Honda in Exeter, said the group was delighted to be associated with such a successful rugby club.
“Exeter Chiefs are pushing hard to get through to the Premier Division and we can relate to their professionalism,” he said. “They have played in National Division One since 1997 and were placed second in 2004/5 and third in three other seasons.
“It is important for the Hendy Honda to be part of the community in which we operate and, by working with the club, we can reach a wide audience of existing and potential customers.
“The sponsorship entitles us to advertising space in the Exeter Chiefs brochures, and we have a six metre, pitch side advertising board at the Sandy Park Stadium,” Vince continued. “It’s an excellent way of promoting our brand to potential customers, particularly as the Honda Civic is such a sporty car.”
