Welcome to the Hendy Group blog!

Our first blog is dedicated to helping you save money on fuel!

1. Not servicing your car is not saving you money - make sure you get your vehicle regularly serviced so the engine is always running efficiently.

2. Avoid using your air conditioning unless necessary - fuel consumption can be increased by up to 11% with it turned on.

3. Are you a speed demon? Just taking your speed down from 80 mph to 70 mph can decrease your fuel consumption by 25%!

4. Can you see the floor of your car? If no, why not try travelling lighter? Have a good clear out and stop carrying unnecessary weight in your car.

5. Are you forever 'popping out' at the weekend? Why not try to do one longer journey instead of lots of small ones.

6. When was the last time you checked your tyres? If your tyres are 20% underinflated, you could be using up to 10% more fuel.

7. Always sitting in traffic? If you feel you spend a lot of time sitting in queues, why not switch off your engine?

8. Do you dally? Don't start the engine until you are ready to leave...plug your sat nav in, change CD with the engine off.

9. Do you look ahead? Try and anticipate what may happen and avoid breaking sharply.

10. Are you a good driver? Try and maintain a steady speed, accelerate slowly and in general try and have a smooth drive.
