Exterior Design
The strong contemporary design of the Transit conveys the ability to deliver, whichever angle you look at it. Head on, the three-bar grille with large Ford oval badge displays its heritage with pride and is flanked by large headlights. But style is nothing without substance. The bold, modern exterior is specially reinforced to offer all-round passive protection.

 

Headlights
The lighting technology in the Transit has been designed to make night-time driving easier, safer and more comfortable. We have designed the headlights with a large lens to help make driving easier when visibility is reduced. Also, if fitted with the optional auto-headlights, they will turn on when the sensors detect a reduction in daylight conditions, which means you won’t need to turn them on at dusk, at night, or when going through a tunnel.
 
Fog lights are also available as standard on Transit Trend, Transit Limited and SportVan to help make driving easier when visibility is reduced. Auto-headlights are standard on Transit Trend, Limited and SportVan and come as part of the Premium Visibility Pack.

 

Innovative bumpers
To make light work of cleaning the windscreen, we’ve added a step in the bumper. These bumpers have also been designed in three pieces so they are easier and more cost-effective to replace.

 

Easy loading
We’ve made it easy to load and unload your cargo at any time of the day. Twin unglazed rear doors are fitted as standard, together with a passenger’s sliding side-load door. Twin sliding side-load doors are available as standard on FWD MWB low roof and optional on all others. Meanwhile, for unrestricted access at the rear, a tailgate is available as an option (please contact us for more details and availability).
 
For generous rear loading, the full-size rear doors open to 180° and up to 256° on the Jumbo, to make loading a Transit just that bit easier. You can carry anything and everything; whether it’s 8´ x  4´ boards, either flat or on their sides, or up to five Europallets (in a Jumbo Van). You’ll find the extended wheelbase is ideal for longer loads such as lengths of pipe.
