Rally action for one of the south’s most successful teams moves to Belgium this weekend for the Monteberg Rally.
Steve Hendy and co-driver Aled Davies will be in the Hendy Group Focus RS for the tricky asphalt event – a favourite for the pair.
“This is our first asphalt event for the season having competed on the gravel Sunseeker Rally in February so it will be interesting getting back into the groove,’’ said Steve who will be at the wheel of the Hankook-shod car.
“The car and tyres are a great package but it’s going to be a tricky weekend with some incredibly challenging roads in Belgium and of course the unpredictable weather.’’
Steve and Aled are among the 77 starters in the Monteberg Rally which gets underway on Sunday.
Based in the village Dranouter near Ypres in the Flanders region of Belgium, the event is based around the famous Kemelberg Stages that are used on the Ypres Rally, a round of the Intercontinental Rally Challenge.
