A top five result for Steve Hendy and Aled Davies in the Hendy Group Focus RS was welcomed by the team on the Monteberg Rallysprint last weekend.
The event was based in the village Dranouter near Ypres in the Flanders region of Belgium around the famous Kemelberg Stages that are used on the Ypres Rally, a round of the Intercontinental Rally Challenge.
“It was a tough event with changeable weather conditions but we managed to get a good clean run which was enough to secure fifth position,’’ said Steve.
“This was our first asphalt outing of the year in the Hankook-shod Focus RS and it was great to get back into the groove on what was a tricky course and really tested the car, crew and tyres,’’ he said.
The team’s next outing will be to Holland in July.
