Hendy Sales Awards Is A Roaring Success

On 3rd December 2015, the Hendy Sales Awards took place. With fantastic entertainment and merriment provided from the start - this important night in Hendy's calendar rewarded the successes of the teams of Salesmen and individuals across the company.

The theme for the night's festivities was sports and teamwork. This celebrated the fact that at Hendy, teamwork is an integral part of our philosophy and without such a fantastic team delivering world-class work; we wouldn't be where we are today.

Guests were greeted with welcome drinks from singing waiters - a fun surprise that got people in the party mood right from the off. Proceedings got under way with bagpipe players, who marched in to kick the night off in style, before they were joined on stage for a surprise performance by Hendy directors!

The night was expertly compered from start to finish by Sky Sports' Jeff Stelling who recalled some interesting anecdotes about his career on Countdown and Soccer Saturday, and his passion for sport.

Awards were handed out across several categories, brands and business sectors, including awards for Top Sales Person / Outstanding Employee, Team of the Year, Sales Manager of the Year, and Hall of Fame. Notable winners are as follows:

  • Team of the Year: Ford Commercial Vehicle
  • Sales Manager of the Year - David Graham
  • Hall of Fame - Andy Stevenson

Plus...

  • 17 winners were entered into the '200 Club'

After dinner, the Silent Auction results were announced, and winners collected the prizes donated by Capital FM, Honda UK, Mazda Finance, Kia Motors and Ford. Over £1,000 was raised for BEN, a charity set up to help people who work in the automotive industry at times when it is needed the most. The evening was rounded off with a fun and feisty Q&A session with renowned footballers Matt Le Tissier and Alan McLoughlin.

The evening overall was considered a huge success, with plenty of fun had by all and many significant achievements recognised. Here's to 2016!
