The 2016 Goodwood Festival of Speed played host to a grand unveiling by Ford - sitting alongside the Fiesta ST-Line and Focus ST-Line was the new Mondeo ST-Line.
Ford Europe Marketing Vice President, Roelant de Waard, commented: 'The new Mondeo ST-Line is our sportiest Mondeo since we introduced the Mondeo ST220 model in 2002. Mondeo ST-Line adds another dimension to the broad Mondeo line-up that offers options from the fuel-efficient Mondeo ECOnetic and Mondeo Hybrid models, to the exclusive and upscale Mondeo Vignale.'
Select the higher-end 2.0-litre TDCi diesel engines to power your Mondeo, and you'll soon have the option to upgrade your specification to this recently announced ST-Line, adding sporty exterior styling and interior upgrades.
Pick the 178bhp option and your Mondeo ST-Line will have the ability to achieve an impressive 62.8mpg. This same engine is able to accelerate from 0 - 62mph in just 8.3 seconds.
Benefit from sports suspension, which drops your Mondeo ST-Line 10mm lower, plus a glass black honeycomb grille, LED daytime running lights, ST-Line badging, silver tailpipe surrounds, assertive black detailing and a choice of 18-inch or 19-inch alloy wheels.
On the inside, find sports seats with distinctive red stitching, a perforated leather ST-style steering wheel and a sports gear knob (on manual transmission models). Estates come with a rear roof spoiler as standard, but you have the option to add it to the saloon.
Further enhance your Mondeo ST-Line by adding a six-speed automatic PowerShift transmission with steering wheel-mounted paddles and Intelligent All-Wheel Drive.
Ford is already lining up additional models to benefit from ST-Line trim, potentially including the Kuga, S-MAX, and even the EcoSport.
