Sporty just got a new look | June 2018

If you're as big a fan of the sporty Fiesta ST as we are, then you'll be very pleased to hear that a new model will be arriving soon - and we couldn't be more excited. >

Although the ST line-up mirrors the previous version in terms of styling, you are now being treated to three different levels of specification and equipment. The entry-level ST-1 comes as standard with its 17-inch alloys finished in Flash Grey, flat-bottomed steering wheel and fabric-trimmed Recaro sports seats. There are also a number of technologic features that have been fitted as standard, including cruise control with speed limiter function, lane keep alert and assist, automatic headlights, and electrically operated, heated door mirrors to make visibility cleared even in the colder months.

With the ST-2 trim you can enjoy a black, machined finish to the car's signature alloy wheels, which still measure 17 inches in size, but you can opt for an 18-inch version. Automatic climate control builds on the base car's manual air conditioning, while the Recaro sports seats gain blue detailing, blue seat belts and are now heated.

At the top of the range you find the ST-3, available with either three or five doors and 18-inch wheels with red brake callipers. Inside, the Recaro seats are trimmed in leather and gain adjustable lumbar support too. A suite of driver assistance features have also been fitted, these include automatic high beam, automatic wipers, a rear-view camera with parking sensors and a 4.2-inch TFT instrument cluster display.

No matter which model you select, you will still be able to enjoy the finest entertainment while on the move thanks to the SYNC 3 technology in the centre console, which allows for easy smartphone connectivity by including the easy-to-use Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.

It boasts a new 1.5-litre, three-cylinder turbo engine that produces 197bhp and gains a substantial amount of torque - swelling from 240Nm to 290Nm. In terms of performance, the new ST will complete 0-62mph in 6.5 seconds, four tenths of a seconds faster than the outgoing car, and the top speed rises to 144mph.
