All-New Ceed GT and ProCeed revealed ahead of Paris Motor Show

Due to be released early in 2019, these new additions to the Ceed family will be enjoying their first public outings at the Paris Motor Show in October.

Perhaps the biggest surprise is the new flagship of the range, the All-New 2019 ProCeed. Previously the name given to the Ceed's three-door hatch format, this new release takes on the guise of a shooting brake estate. This high-performance model gives the model an undeniably sporty presence, and is powered by a 1.6-litre T-GDi engine. At 4,605mm long, the ProCeed is 5mm longer than the Ceed Sportswagon. It sits at 1,422mm in height, with a reduced ground clearance of 135mm. It has a very generous boot capacity of 594 litres, making it a versatile addition to the Ceed line-up.

Meanwhile, the All-New 2019 Ceed GT hatchback also boasts sportier styling than previous incarnations. The Ceed GT's athletic persona boasts specially-tuned suspension, creating a fun and agile drive. Kia's iconic tiger nose grille has been adapted for the GT, with a honeycomb pattern and red detailing. Plus, its red brake callipers and wheel centre caps, a new front bumper design, gloss black trim along the base, dual exhaust tips and a small roof spoiler give it a dynamic look as it commands the road. Powered by a punchy turbocharged 1.4-litre engine, this sporty hatchback produces 201hp, and is now available with a choice of transmission options for the first time. All models are given a six-speed manual as standard, with the option of a seven-speed.

Both models contain an enviable array of advanced driver assistance and safety technologies, including Driver Attention Warning, High Beam Assist, Lane Keeping Assist with Forward Collision-Avoidance Assist.

The unveiling of the All-New Ceed GT and ProCeed sees Kia expanding their Ceed range in Europe. Both models are set to go on sale early next year, with performance details still to be released. Stay tuned for updates!
