National Tyre Safety Week with Hendy Group
We want to ensure that you're always as safe as possible while behind the wheel - your tyres are the only part of your car that stays in contact with the road, so you therefore need to ensure that they're up to scratch to keep you on the straight and narrow.
As it stands, you should be checking your tyres once a month to not only look at the wear on them, but also for any abnormalities and to verify that they are at the correct pressure. Too little and you can increase the wear; too much and you can run the risk of a puncture.
The quickest and easiest way to check the tread depth on your vehicle is to use the 20p test. All you need to do is place a 20p coin into the main tread grove of your tyre - if the outer band of the coin is obscured, you're above the legal limit. If it's not, you may be below this set limit.
If you're unsure, or would like to find out more, please get in touch with your local dealership to give you that peace of mind when out on the road.
