Frank Barr was lucky enough to have Robert Harris, an ex-Hendy employee, as his first customer as a New Car Salesmen for Kia. Mr Harris, known as Bob, worked as a mechanic at Hendy from 1950 - 1956 until he left to join the Army.
During his apprenticeship, Bob met founder of the Hendy Group, Percy Hendy himself, as well as meeting and dealing with Henry Ford.
Bob's long and illustrious history with Hendy makes this first sale extra special for Frank, who said Bob "was more than happy with the Kia Picanto he bought. It's just a shame it wasn't a Ford...!".
