The countdown is now on for the opening of the Hendy Car and Van Store in Portsmouth following completion of the purchase of the Anchorage Road site.
Previously operated by Unbeatablecar Portsmouth, the site is set to become home to Hendy's largest used vehicle operation to date.
It will be closed this week to allow for it to be rebranded, refurbished and restocked ready for the grand opening on Monday July 2.
Up to 500 used cars and vans are set to arrive at the Hendy Car and Van Store, with the award winning concept based on offering the best choice of vehicles at the most competitive prices without compromising on the customer experience.
Hendy Group chief executive Paul Hendy said he was delighted to have completed the purchase of the site.
"This acquisition is part of our ongoing expansion plans and will complement our existing Portsmouth operation which includes successful new and used Ford, Honda, Kia and commercial vehicle sales and servicing," said Paul.
In addition to the used cars and vans the site will also offer full car and van servicing facilities with a 20-bay workshop, bodyshop and Smart Repair.
The group currently has 12 motor franchises in 25 locations and employs more than 1,000 people in Hampshire, Sussex, Surrey, Kent and Devon. The group already has a successful Car and Van Store in Exeter and is due to open one in Ferndown, Dorset.
Paul added: "We are looking forward to welcoming our new team members to the Group, and to opening the doors to customers on 2nd July".
Last year Hendy, which was recently named Employer of the Year in the 2018 Solent 250 Awards, sold more than 38,900 vehicles and it serviced and repaired more than 235,000.
Shortlist is currently empty.
