Sleek, flowing styling, a coupé-inspired profile and futuristic quad laser headlamps define Kia's latest concept, the Novo. Unveiled at the Seoul Motor Show on the 2nd of April, the Novo is powered by a 1.6-litre turbo petrol engine powering the front wheels.
Kia knows a thing or two about creating desirable concept cars. They've teased us with their Kia GT and Stinger concepts a few times recently, but the Novo (the name comes from the Latin 'to make new') previews a new styling direction for the brand. Minimalist and sporting, it's an aggressive take on a four-door medium sized car. Among style-conscious drivers, the Novo's looks could be a dealmaker.
It's almost as exciting in the cabin, which is 'designed as a sanctuary from the frenzied outside world' which makes sense when you remember that Kia say this car is for young urbanites in high-pressure jobs and busy schedules. The long body and intelligent use of space means the interior is roomy enough for four adults in comfort, and the design-led console and dashboard point the way towards attractive interior styling in Kia cars of the future.
