As lockdown measures are slowly lifted, the Government has announced that drivers who are due their MOT from August 1 must obtain a pass certificate to continue driving their vehicle.
The Government had previously granted a six-month extension to drivers during the strict lockdown period. Drivers with an MOT date before August 1 will still qualify for the extension, however they must ensure their vehicle is kept roadworthy and should still take it to be investigated if they notice something is wrong. Hendy Group recommends the completion of MOTs due before this date to ensure complete peace of mind for the driver.
