Mazda’s MX-30 now goes further. Meet the Mazda MX-30 e-Skyactiv R-EV – the plug-in hybrid with unforgettable electric capabilities.

The MX-30 R-EV is the first plug-in hybrid of its kind, always driving electric due to its built-in charging station. Rotary engine technology works to produce the required power output from a small, light and easily packaged unit.

With a 17.8kWh battery, the R-EV has a 53-mile pure electric range. But with no mechanical connection between the engine and the wheels, there is space for a 50-litre fuel tank. The combination of the generator-like rotary unit and tank means the R-EV offers a very impressive range – enough for over 400 miles (around 680km).

Three-phase AC charging takes around 50 minutes, while DC rapid charging can be completed in around 25 minutes for ultimate flexibility. With a WLTP CO2 output of just 21g/km, it’s a great choice for eco-conscious drivers.

There are three drive modes to suit different driving situations: Normal, EV and Charge. And it’s offered in the same highly specified grades as the all-electric e-Skyactiv MX-30: Prime-Line, Exclusive-Line and Makoto.
