The SHARK’s Super Hybrid system favours electric drive in up to 80% of driving scenarios, for a smooth, quiet experience. When you need to go further, the petrol engine steps in. The SHARK is built on BYD’s DMO (Dual Mode Off-road) Super Hybrid platform, a new approach to the pickup. Intelligent electric all-wheel drive constantly balances torque between the front and rear axles, giving you grip and control when the going gets tough.
Designed by BYD Interior Design Director Michele Jauch Paganetti, the SHARK’s cabin blends outdoor practicality with modern style and durability. There’s space for up to five people, soft-touch materials throughout and practical storage for everyday essentials, all brought together by BYD’s intelligent cockpit system.
The SHARK has confidence built in. Its Blade Battery, one of the safest batteries in the world, is integrated directly into the chassis, increasing structural rigidity by up to 38%.
