Available from Hendy Kia, four Kia models have picked up awards at the 2024 Business Motoring Awards, with the publication heaping praise on Kia’s electrified model line-up for their business appeal.

The Business Motoring Awards celebrate the businesses and cars that best serve the fleet and SME (small and medium-sized enterprise) markets and is judged by an independent jury of experts.

Awards judges bestowed multiple honours upon Kia’s electrified vehicle line-up, namely the fully electric EV6 and EV9 models, as well as the Niro, available with a hybrid, plug-in hybrid or fully electric powertrain. With Benefit-in-Kind tax starting from just two per cent on fully electric models, each of Kia’s electrified cars are tailored to suit a variety of business motorists.

Kia Niro: ‘Best Hybrid and ‘Best Small Car’

The Kia Niro has continued to add to its impressive awards tally, collecting two category wins at this year’s awards. Available with a trio of powertrain choices, the Niro impressed to take the title for ‘Best Hybrid’, following in its predecessor’s tracks, as the previous generation Niro was named Business Motoring’s ‘Best Hybrid’ at the 2021 awards.

Offering urban-focused dimensions and intelligent packaging, the Kia Niro also took the award for ‘Best Small Car’, representing excellent practicality in a compact shell.

Kia EV6: ‘Best Medium EV £30,001 - £45,000’ and highly commended ‘Best Medium SUV’

Increasing in size, the Kia EV6 was selected as a category winner by Business Motoring, as the judges named it ‘Best Medium EV’ within the £30,001 to £45,000 price category and listed the model as a ‘highly commended’ contender in the ‘Best Medium SUV’ category.

The first of the Kia line-up constructed using the brand’s Electric-Global Modular Platform (E-GMP), the EV6 offers a wide array of practical features in a sleek and crossover-inspired body. A totally flat floor allows for impressive passenger and cargo space, while the fully electric powertrain enables smooth, refined and hassle-free motoring.

Kia EV9: ‘Best Large SUV’

At the pinnacle of Kia UK’s EV line-up sits the recently launched Kia EV9, a three-row, fully electric SUV available as a six- or seven-seater. Bulking out its rapidly expanding awards cabinet, Business Motoring named the Kia EV9 its ‘Best Large SUV’, as the model fended off EV, petrol and diesel-powered rivals from several traditionally premium and luxury brands. With cargo-hauling credentials, a range of up to 349 miles* on a single charge and ultra-fast 800V charging capabilities, the EV9 impressed judges and fits the bill as an impressive large SUV; further bolstered by its zero-emission driving on the road.

The model, which commenced sales in the UK in December 2023, has been met with consistently high praise since its reveal, and was recently named ‘UK Car of the Year 2024’ at the 2024 UK Car of the Year Awards, and ‘World’s Best Car of the Year for 2024’ at the Women’s Worldwide Car of the Year Awards.
