Celebrating a successful summer partnership with Who Dares Gyms

It was a season of sun, sea, sand, sweat and SUVs, as Who Dares Gyms redefined summer fitness with the help of Hendy Land Rover Christchurch.

We were proud to partner with the fitness company – the UK’s first ever (and only) gym on the beach – for their third summer season on the Bournemouth beachfront, helping them make waves in the popular Dorset town.

Our Defender 130 was on hand to help set up the gym, and we also showcased the Defender Collection throughout the events run by this fitness powerhouse over the summer, culminating in their final team games event on 30th September 2023.

Driving fitness

Over the summer, Who Dares Gyms helped visitors rev up for a healthier future, offering a refreshing blend of fitness and natural serenity.

Its seafront location created an empowering and accessible community, helping people of all abilities work towards an active and healthy lifestyle. It was popular with locals and visitors from across the South, with a number of Team Hendy members also using the gym facilities.

The partnership has proved to be an exciting collaboration between two industries sharing a message of strength and endurance. There’s obvious synergy between Land Rover’s military heritage and the Special Forces background of Who Dares Gyms founder Leo Walker and director Jason Carl ‘Foxy’ Fox, star of the Channel 4 show ‘SAS: Who Dares Wins’.

Roving the beachfront

Hendy Land Rover Christchurch were delighted to be part of the Team Games on Saturday 30th September, the finale of Who Dares Gyms’ summer 2023 season.

With sunny weather, this action-packed day welcomed participants of all fitness levels from across the South to take part in exercises and races in teams. There was even a team Land Rover pull, where teams pulled two of our Defenders down the strip on Bournemouth beach.
