Visitors to this weekend’s Fabulous Family Fun Day in Salisbury are set for a packed day of entertainment and the chance of winning a top prize as part of the fundraising efforts for Salisbury Hospice Charity.
The event will be held on Saturday May 14th at Salisbury Rugby Club with activities underway at noon and live music, children’s entertainment, food, drink and sporting tournaments running set to entertain visitors until 10pm.
Entry is free and in addition to the entertainment line-up event sponsor Hendy Group is offering everyone the chance to win a £100 voucher for Thruxton Circuit by guessing the number of balloons in one of its cars at the event.
Hendy commercial director Mark Busby said the day was lining up to be an incredible fundraiser and said he hoped the Hendy competition would boost the fundraising total this year
“Every year Greig Futcher runs this event to remember his wife Lyn who sadly passed away after breast cancer and, as part of the local community in Salisbury, we wanted to show our support for the family and the charity.”
Event organiser Greig said this year’s event will be the eighth and once again the local community has joined forces to put together a packed day of entertainment.
“It’s great to be back after the enforced Covid break and this year the event is set to be bigger and better than ever and every penny we raise will be going straight to the Salisbury Hospice Charity,” he said. “Thanks to everyone who has pledged their support and we hope everyone comes down to enjoy the day on Saturday.”
