Consumers looking to purchase a new electric vehicle (EV) from a Hendy showroom this summer could soon benefit from generous new government incentives worth up to £3,750 off the price of the car. Those interested in making the shift to electrified mobility are encouraged to register their interest at Hendy dealerships now, so that they can be notified of the discounts as soon as they are confirmed by the government.

 

The government’s Electric Car Grant will be available for new EVs priced at or below £37,000, with the scale of discount ranging from £1,500 up to a maximum of £3,750. Eligibility is dependent on sustainability criteria met by the car manufacturer, and the government is set to confirm the list of qualifying vehicles over the coming weeks. Hendy dealership staff will then be able to guide customers on how it applies to specific makes and models.

 

Hendy has introduced additional offers to make home charging simple and easy. For example, Motability customers can secure a free home charge point when purchasing from Hendy.

 

Hendy represents 23 brands at 60 locations along the south coast, and many of those sites now offer a choice of pure EVs, hybrid electric vehicles and plug-in electric vehicles for customers who want to make the switch to greener forms of mobility.
