Suzuki has been listed as the number one car brand by the Institute of Customer Service.

Suzuki GB PLC achieved the top spot in the most recent Institute of Customer Service's UK Customer Satisfaction Index (UKCSI). The index is compiled from 45,000 consumer ratings of different companies across various sectors including the motor trade.

The Japanese manufacturer scored an improved 84.1 (up from 83 in last year's index) to climb 10 places year-on-year across all companies measured.

Suzuki was also the top-ranked out of 24 vehicle manufacturers and 11 places higher than the next automotive brand.

Commenting on the results, Nobuo Suyama, Managing Director of Suzuki GB PLC, said: "We are very proud of our achievement to have again been recognised as the best car brand in the Index. Continuing to evolve the Suzuki customer experience has been a core focus during recent years, and the ongoing efforts have clearly paid off."

Customers were asked to review their experience, emotional connection, ethics and how they perceived the customer ethos with Suzuki scoring highly in all categories.

The UKCSI is published twice a year, in January and July. Each UKCSI incorporates two sets of data to create a rolling measure of customer satisfaction.
